Reports reaching alafnet.com says Ten Cameroonians were arrested in Dubai last Sunday the 19th of February, 2017 after stealing nearly one billion CFA francs from a Saudi businessman last Friday.
They were arrested 48 hours after the offense.The money was recovered and they will be prosecuted in Dubai.
The money was stolen in a hotel where a Saudi businessman had meetings with members of the gang who presented themselves as investors in the middle East . The latter called a money exchange to bring the money to the hotel.
The Delivery of the money was made by three Asian employees. When they entered the hotel room, the gang attacked them. The “investors” tied their feet and hands and took away the money.
The victims were found in the room by a hotel housekeeper and an immediate manhunt was launched .
Some of the culprits were caught with some of the money at the border, others in Oman.
