Team #boycottafcon# say the response during the Nigeria Vs Mali which took place yesterday in Limbe was a great success as the 20,000 seater Omnisports stadium was  empty.(match results Nigeria v Mali 6-0)

For Justice Ayah Paul who supported the boycott campaign  #BoycottAfcon# is wining. On his Facebook page yesterday evening he wrote ;
ayah-advocate-generalAyah Paul Abine
“THANK YOU

Some days back, I joined my voice to condemn government’s brutal crackdown on peacefully demonstrating men in wigs – our courageous lawyers. I called on everyone to boycott the AFCON games in Limbe.

Thank you all to have heed to my call by severally abstaining from the marches of Sunday November 20, 2016. The stadium was virtually empty!

I enjoin us all to remain resolute and steadfast. Our strike action continues …

Once more, thank you.”Ayah Paul wrote.

He supported his statement above with the following photos of the stadium fb_img_1479709501580 fb_img_1479709513683 fb_img_1479709518495 fb_img_1479709549363 fb_img_1479709553239

English speaking Cameroonians who make upthe #boycottafcon# have decided to sympathize with the Common law lawyers by #BoycottAfcon 2016.

Cameroonian of English decent have been argueing that nothing justifies the brutality on the Anglophone lawyers during their peaceful protest on the 7th, 8th and 10th of November in Bamenda and Buea respectively .During which police were authorized to brutalized, took away phones and robes off the lawyers of English Expression during their peaceful protest. Their main demand is for government to translate the OHADA Treaty and the application of the Common Law in respect of the bi-judicial system corollary to bilingualism.

#BoycottAfcon# say that since the Anglophone lawyers have be brutalized ,there is no one to defend any individual in case of any eventuality during the competition.Their fears is also added to the fact the government has deployed close to 1000 gendarmes for the competition.
