Marcel niat njifenji, President of the Senate during the opening ceremony of the Parliamentary Session of last November 10th at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé said,
“the Eseka train derailment which comes after the breakdown on the national road linking the two main cities of our country raises questions about the responsibilities of management and maintenance .Monitoring and maintenance of some essential infrastructures for the development of our country is important , ” the president of the Senate according to Cameroon-Info.Net .

For the newspaper, marcel niat njifenji seems to have spare the government, and asked for patient for the results of the findings from commission of Inquiry edtablished by the head of state and chaired by the Prime Minister, Philemon Yang.
Alafnet.com notes that the commission does not include Ministers of Transport and the Public Works, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o and Emmanuel Djoumessi Nganou respectively.
Senate President also took the opportunity to highlight the problem of the poor conditions of infrastructures in Cameroon, Citing the national roads of Yaounde-Bafoussam and Bamenda-Babadjou as examples.
He further denounced negligence in the maintenance and distribution of electricity and water supplies,Both of which have deteriorated tremendously and need of immediate renovation.
Marcel niat njifenji recommends the Government to be ” more demanding, more vigilant and watchful “to companies responsible for ensuring compliance and specifications.To make sure everyone respect its commitments.
