Alafnet.com has been reliably informed that the Cameroon high commission at 84 Holland Park, Kensington, London W11 3S in London has for months been without a high commissioner.According to our sources, the High Commissioner of Cameroon (ambassador) London and his main deputies were recalled in Yaounde since May 2016.
The head of the diplomatic mission of Cameroon in the United Kingdom ,HE Nkwelle Ekane was involved in a scandal of licensing of import drinks in to UK.
Our source indicates that the embassy staff had the right during some Cameroonian national events to import duty-free drinks from Cameroon but some consular personnel used this document illegally to supply drinks to residents and businesses in England.
In the past four years for example, they have been importing drinks from Cameroon duty free.An HM Revenue recent investigation revealed that the UK had lost several million pounds of unpaid import taxes as a result of this crockery.
Faced with this scandal, the Cameroonian authorities in Yaounde recalled the 40 years old , UK based High Commissioner for months now without any replacement . Thus leaving the Cameroonian high commission in London which is one of 510 foreign representations in the United Kingdom, and one of 192 foreign representations in London with no head of mission.
