The Social Democratic Front (SDF) says it supports the strike by Anglopgone lawyers, according to news reaching .

The common law lawyers’ strike which has paralyzed for nearly a month courts in the Southwest and Northwest regions was a key item on the agenda of the National Executive Committee (NEC), held on November 5, 2016 in Bamenda.

” besides the SDF militants ,some Common Law practitioners activists who are not members of the NEC took part in the meeting,during which they better explained the problem, defending it during the executive of the SDF meeting.


The strike which was launched on 11 October 2016  has taken another turn this time arround with the National Executive Committee of the SDF supports the strike and call the lawyers to “continue this movement until President Biya solve the problem,” said our sources inside the NEC.


“It is deplorable that the government have turned a deaf ear to these legitimate claims of the common law lawyers, and we are support them,” said the Honourable Chinda Fobi of the press SDF. We believe that “these lawyers are fighting for the population, and it is a legitimate cause. But cons we are against separation from the Cameroon Bar as advocated by some of the English-speaking lawyers , “said the deputy of the Mezam. is aware that the support from NEC comes  at a time when English-speaking teachers of Cameroon announced a strike. As reported by this publication all schools in  Anglophone Cameroon will shut down this November in a planned strike action.
