Cameroonian President Paul Biya

In a letter published by the  French daily newspaper Le Soir on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, Louis-David Lobè, the spokesman for the “Coalition 2018  said ,”. it is time for the President of the Republic ,Paul Biya to resign, because he has already spent 34 years in power. For the coalition, the head of state took an oath. “Africans lived an admirable devolution of power through a constitutional mechanisms. 34 years later, the desolation pf power is absolute with widespread exasperation. Only a heroic act,The resignation of HE [His Excellency] Paul Biya, will trigger the forgiveness of sins: “he said.

Also the coalition for 2018 said in it letter that” it  is offering a resignation speech to Paul Biya as a birthday present. In that letter, the Head of State will thank Cameroonians for the multifaceted support they have shown him throughout his reign, and finish with: “(…) With  a very significant day , I have decided to resign my office of President of the Republic of Cameroon. Cameroonian people, my job has not to met your legitimate expectations, (…) Sorry for these lives cut short, sorry for the lost time. I wish good luck and foresight to Mr. President of the Senate,my constitutional successor to  manage and  organized everything  properly in time for a consensual for presidential elections. ”

In January 2016 already, “the coalition for the presidential elections 2018, ” Called on Cameroonians to get up from slumber , stop doubting their ability to oppose and stand against the policies implemented by the CPDM  regime. “In the current state, no opposition leader single handedly can confront this system, remove the boundaries, give hope, no matter the amount of   intelligence, skills, talents they have. Neither Ni Fru Ndi, Ndam Njoya,Christopher Fomunyoh,Jean-Jacques Ekindi ,Maurice Kamto nor the Union of Cameroonian Populations (UPC) or those who can emerge on the current scene will beat Biya.”
