Alhaji Baba A Danpullo is the richest man in francophone Africa south of the Sahara

Forbes Magazine in a ranking of persons with the largest fortunes in Africa,  named Aliko Dangote, a Nigerian whose wealth is estimated at 12, 9 billion dollards as the richest man in Africa . While Alhaji Baba Amadou Danpullo in the second consecutive year is the richest man in the francophone Africa sub-region Francophone Africa, with 940 million dollars.

According to Alafnet.com understanding, the owner of Elba Ranch is closely followed by George Forrest, a Belgian born in the Democratic Republic of Congo has a fortune of $ 800 million and Cameroonian banker Paul Fokam Kammogne occupies the third place with $ 690 million.

 

In its  new edition already on newsstands, between December 2016 to January 2017, the forbes magazine made a new revelation: Ms. Kate Kanyi Tometi Fotso, widow of André Fotso, former president of the Inter-Employers Group of Cameroon (Gicam) who died  four months ago, is the richest woman in Cameroon with a fortune estimated at $ 252 million, or about 114 billion FCFA.

Occupying the  20th position , she has made history as the first woman to be among the 30 richest persons in francophone Africa south of the Sahara.

Also Forbes Magazine Africa, which publishes an annual ranking of the largest fortunes of the continent, revealed the new rich in Cameroon which includes Paul Fokam Kammogne Samuel Foyou Colin Mukete, Jean Samuel Noutchoguoin Sylvestre Ngouchinghe Nana Bouba.
