Cameroon:Common Law Lawyers walk out of the Yaounde meeting

photo of ad hoc committee meeting yesterday

Following the refusal from the government to grant the preliminary issues demanded by our lawyers, the Common Law Lawyers found out that the government is still maintaining bad faith towards the crisis. They therefore had no reason to pursue the meeting and accordingly staged a walk out led by the President of the consortium, Barrister Nkongho Balla.

The preliminary issues include but not limited to:

1. The unconditional release of all our brothers abducted from Southern Cameroons and taken to Y’de.

2. Reviewing the composition of the committee.

3. Uplifting the ban and/or suspension imposed imposed on NOWELA, MELA, FAKLA.

Details latter…..
