The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) are being restructured to effectively respond to internal security.

The ultimate goal of the restructuring is to have army barracks in every region of the country.
The Defence Minister noted that the modernisation of the Ghana Armed force was about transforming them into motorised and modernised battalions, Dr Benjamin Kunbour,announced this in Accra yesterday in a press breifing.
