IVORY COAST’S SERGE AURIER BANNED FROM CONTACTING PSG TEAM-MATES

Serge Aurier has been banned from having any contact with his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League tie with Chelsea.

The right-back has been left out of the squad for their last-16 first-leg tie as part of his suspension for making controversial comments about head coach Laurent Blanc and other team-mates, including star forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in a video responding to supporters.

The 23-year-old’s future at the club is now the subject of great uncertainty and the PSG hierarchy have taken steps to prevent him from further damaging the environment at the club.

Goal understands Aurier cannot have any contact with his team-mates before their midweek game and will not be allowed to train with the group until next Monday, where a meeting will take place to decide the sanctions he will be given as a result of his behaviour and determine his future at the club.

Blanc and PSG chief executive Nasser Al-Khelaifi are both understood to be enraged by the story but are refraining from taking any rash decisions with regards to the player’s future.
